Covenant for Firms
Covenant closes the gap between what general purpose AI can achieve and where premium legal judgement is required. Covenant is law firms’ trusted partner in delivering results to private market investors, allowing for efficiency savings to be passed on to clients with confidence.
What is Covenant for Firms?
For outside counsel, Covenant is a workflow automation specifically built for investor representation. With Covenant, law firms deliver the work clients value most with faster turnaround, more competitive pricing, and lawyer time directed to judgment, negotiation, and client advice. Covenant is a firm’s trusted resource from reviewing complex investment agreements to prioritizing issues, and from benchmarking terms to drafting side letters.
Accuracy and Predictability
Covenant summarizes investment documents with accuracy and predictability. Investment documents are reviewed for detailed structured information that undergoes a multi-model review and lawyer verification process. The result is verified legal data on investment documents.
Benchmarking Insights
Because Covenant uses advanced data structuring methodologies, firms can compare terms across relevant funds with confidence. This gives firms reliable data on terms a client has agreed to or pushed back on in the past.
Issues List Head Start
Firms receive a first-cut of an issues list based on market standards and a client’s own portfolio. This enables prioritization of issues early in the process, escalating what’s important as soon as possible.
Side Letter Negotiations
Covenant is specifically designed to manage side letter negotiations for each and every client with ease. A dynamic issues list updates as the deal progresses allowing firms to track progress towards reaching agreement.
Subscription Documents and MFN Elections
Covenant supports efficient and accurate review of subscription documents and MFN elections. Firms can offer a full-service solution to clients, with the administrative work handled efficiently.
Secondaries Diligence
Whether a client is buying or selling a portfolio of fund interests, Covenant streamlines the diligence process to be fast and reliable.
Covenant works the way firms work.
Firms can use Covenant's in-platform dashboards, export Covenant drafts, comparisons and summaries to work directly in Word, and access Covenant data with the AI tools already embedded in their workstreams.
Built by Experienced Lawyers and Technologists
Covenant was founded by lawyers with decades of experience in law and private markets who are driven by the mission of modernizing how complex legal work gets done. Covenant’s engineering team has spent years applying advanced technology to legal work, including at some of the fastest growing legal technology companies. Covenant builds, verifies, and continually improves the technology, so firms don't have to develop it themselves.
Covenant is a leap forward for how law firms can represent investors. This is proven by Covenant’s deep, loyal client base.
